In our home, the kitchen works a little differently: We’ve chosen a mixed kitchen where both gluten-free and gluten-containing foods have their place. Why? After lots of research, expert advice, and even a genetic test, we found out that we as parents can safely keep eating gluten because our bodies are used to it, and we won’t develop celiac disease. But at the same time, we wanted to make sure our daughter could follow her gluten-free diet safely—without us having to worry all the time or her feeling like she has to watch out for everything herself.
